Interesting Facts:

a) Savannas are tropical grasslands that contains scattered trees normally along the border of tropical rain forests.

b) Annual rainfall is 40 to 60 inches.

c) Tropical Savannas are found in Australia and South America, but the largest tropical savannas are found in Central and East Africa.

d) During dry seasons savannas frequently have fires, the fires are thought to stop the spread of forest.

e) A single species of grass or tree is dominate over a large area (there isn't a great diversity of species).

f) Some examples of animals that live in savannas are zebras, giraffes, antelopes, lions, and cheetahs.
