Anna High School will be hosting the Shelby County Athletic League Track & Field Championships on May 13th and May 16th.  Please review the meet information below. 1. ENTRIES - will be online at baumspage.com. You will need to set up an account and submit your entries by Tuesday, May 6th, 7:00 PM. The Entry window will close precisely at 7:00 PM, so make sure you submit your entries before then.

2. PARKING for school buses will be beside the football field, off North Second Street. MAP  Spectators can park at either the Anna Elementary building, off county road 25A, northeast of the track complex or at the parking lots around the high school, south of the football / track complex. Please try to inform parents and others from your school who may be attending of the parking arrangements. They will not be able to park in the lots around the football / track complex.

3. TEAM CAMPS will be at the south end of the track complex, between the football field and the track. No camps should be set up on the football field.

4. CHANGES OR SCRATCHES – can be made on the day of the meet at the press box.

5. SHOTS & DISCUS will be provided. You can use your own implements during competition, but they must be made available to all competitors. 

6. BATONS & BLOCKS will be provided. You may use your own MOYE blocks if you wish.

7. SPIKES - No larger than 1/8 inch cone shaped spikes are allowed. Needle spikes are not allowed. Those caught with longer spikes will be removed from the event.

8. MARKINGS ON TRACK OR JUMPING SURFACES - Chalk and cut tennis balls will be used for marking check points on relays and marking high jump steps. NO TAPE. There are to be no marks on the long jump or pole vault runways.

 

All runners are to report to the clerk at the southeast corner of the track..
8. We will score 6 places in all events. 10-8-6-4-2-1.
9. Each school is asked to provide enough workers to record, measure, inspect, or whatever else is necessary to make your event run smooth and fast. The equipment necessary to run your event will be provided by Anna and may be picked up at the brick building on the north end of the track. Workers should be at their events by 4:15.

Discus - Botkins (5)
Shot Put - Jackson Center (5)
Long Jump - Russia (4)
Relay Exchanges - Fairlawn & Anna (4 from each school) (Friday only)

10. Admission to the meet will cost $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for students.

11. SCAL Track & Field Championship T-shirts will be available for purchase at the meet.

12. We will be using the Pyro Bright Flash timing system, a fully automatic timing system, to record all efforts in the running events.
