Good Luck to our Anna Rockets competing at Envirothon today! Our Anna Rocket team consists of: Ben Gehret, Griffin Pettus, Sam Baldonado, Tyler Dickman, Cole Huecker, Josephine Flaute, Chris Jamiliton, Amber Leopold, Isabelle Rihm, Tristan Rickels. Advisor, Vicki Quinter.

The ENVIROTHON is a high school competition designed to stimulate, reinforce and enhance interest the environment and natural resources. Students are tested on their knowledge of soils, forestry, wildlife, aquatic ecology and current environmental issues. In addition, the Envirothon encourages cooperative decision-making and team building. While each student on a team is challenged individually to contribute his or her personal best, the score that counts at the end of the competition is the team score. A team consists of five students, all from the same high school. Retrieved from: https://ofswcd.org/envirothon.html

Anna High School's Home & Small Engine Maintenance students had a fantastic opportunity to participate in an "at-school field trip" with a team from Koenig Equipment last week. Koenig technicians lead the students through the process of routine maintenance and troubleshooting problems on the school's lawn equipment. This hands-on demonstration not only reinforced the practical life skills that are taught in Home & Engine Maintenance, but also gave students a glimpse into the mechanical and agricultural service industries right here in our community.

A huge thank you to Koenig Equipment for taking the time out of their busy schedule to invest in our students. We truly appreciate your partnership and dedication to supporting local education!

The experience culminated in a standout public performance at Disney Springs, where the band showcased their hard work and talent to guests from around the world.

The performance was met with widespread praise from onlookers. Many audience members expressed surprise at the group’s level of skill, with several commenting that they “couldn’t believe this was a high school band.”

“We are incredibly proud of our students for the way they represented our school and community,” said Mr. Suhr. “Their dedication, preparation, and professionalism were evident throughout the entire experience.”

The trip provided students with a unique opportunity to grow as musicians while creating lasting memories in a world-class performance setting.

Mrs. Schulze and our STEM students participate in Manufacturing Day 2025. STEM students had the opportunity to attend Honda Manufacturing Day at the Anna Engine Plant.  Students toured the facility, and experienced the wide range of careers and technologies involved in modern manufacturing.  From robotics to quality testing, students saw how skills they are learning about in the classroom are used in a real-world setting.

Thank you to Honda for welcoming our students and providing such a great hands-on learning experience!
