Anna and Ashland

April 27, 2026:  The Anna Band welcomed some very special guests this afternoon, as three representatives from the Ashland High School Band visited for a meaningful presentation.

Recently, both the Anna High School Band and the Ashland High School Band traveled to Orlando, Florida, where they experienced valuable opportunities for learning, performing, and fun. During the trip, Ashland encountered an unfortunate situation when their band trailer was vandalized and several students’ instruments were stolen.

However, as performers know, the show must go on.

In a remarkable act of generosity, an Anna Band member, Carson Rickert, along with his parents, loaned his saxophone to an Ashland student. This was the final instrument needed, allowing every Ashland band member to participate in their performance.

As a token of appreciation, representatives from the Ashland Band visited Anna and shared treats made in Ashland, Ohio. They also presented the Anna Band with a drumhead signed by each member of the Ashland Band, a gift that will be proudly displayed in our school.

More importantly, we extend our sincere thanks for the kindness, generosity, and connection shown between these two programs. Today was truly a great day to be both a Rocket and an Arrow.
